World Environment Day(WED) is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. The celebration of this day provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for an enlightened opinion and responsible conduct by individuals, enterprises, and communities in preserving and enhancing the environment. It is said that WED is the "people's day" for doing something to take care of the Earth. This year’s theme is on air pollution, (#Beat Air pollution) a call to action to combat one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time, chosen by this year’s host, China.
World Environment Day is the biggest annual event for positive environmental action and takes place every 5 June. To support UN and celebrate WED in a most befitting manner the Green Triangle Society in association with Rotary Club of Panaji is celebrating World Environment Day on 7th June 2019 by conducting a “Seminar on Beat Air Pollution”. This workshop will commence at 3.30 pm at 5th Floor, Nalanda Hall, EDC House Panaji Goa.
Shri Ganesh B. Shetgaonkar, Chairman, Goa State Pollution Control Board will be the Keynote speaker and other eminent speaker will be Smt. Geetali Thakur who will speak on Control on Workplace exposure to control Environment Air Pollution..
