Environment Day 2012 Celebrations, Goa
World
Environment Day, commemorated every year on 5 June, is an important day through
which the United Nations promotes worldwide awareness of the environment
related problems. Green Triangle
Society, an NGO dedicated towards promotion of Occupational Safety, Health and
Environment celebrates World Environment Day each year in a befitting
manner.
Green Triangle Society in association
with Inspectorate of Factories &
Boilers, Govt. of Goa have come
together to celebrate World Environment
Day on Friday, 5th June 2012
in Goa by organizing a
lecture at the Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industries Conf. Hall, at
3.45 pm.
The theme of WED
2012 is “Green Economy: Does it include YOU?” The 2012 theme
for World Environment Day is Green Economy: Does it include you? Evidently,
there are two parts to this theme and the first tackles the subject of the
Green Economy. This is where some people shut off their minds because they find
the concept of the Green Economy a little too complex to understand. On the contrary, the Green Economy is really
something that is applicable all around you and it is easy to imagine how you
fit in it
Dr. Alan Sanjay
Rocha, a well-known faculty member from NITTTR (National Institute of
Technical Teachers Training and
Research) Goa extension centre will be
the faculty for the program and he will speak on the Topic” Renewable Energy and Growth Potential” which is
very much relevant to the industry. As we celebrate WED, let us
consider carefully the actions each of us must take, and then address ourselves
to our common task of preserving all life on Earth.
The organizers extend you an invitation for
the programme and look forward to your participation in this seminar.
