ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON
HAZARD IDENTIFICATION AND RISK ANALYSIS
AS PER IS 15656:2006
(HIRA
– CODE OF PRACTICE)
7th March 2012, Hotel Manoshanti, Panaji
Goa
Organized by
Green Triangle Society
In
association with
Inspectorate of Factories & Boilers
OBJECTIVE
The Industries do
adopt various methods for ensuring safety in their operations. However, with
the progressive advances in technology, the continuing trend towards larger and
more highly integrated production units, and the ever-increasing demand by
governmental and public bodies for improved safety and environmental standards,
the conventional methods of design based on established principles and codes of
practice are no longer adequate in themselves for ensuring acceptable standard
of safety.
As a preventive
measure of minimizing the chance of accident to occur in industries and thereby
reducing the possibility of injury, loss of material and degradation of the
environment, it is necessary to use more searching and systematic methods for
risk control to supplement existing procedures.
The present workshop
based on IS 15656:2006 (HAZARD IDENTIFICATION AND RISK ANALYSIS
– CODE OF PRACTICE),
will take a review of the techniques which are
now being employed throughout the life of an installation, by enlightened
management.

intended to acquaint the participants with the very fundamental aspect of
hazard identification techniques and hence should be useful for them in
